The exterior of your home cannot be overlooked if you want to bring prospective buyers in through your front door. If the exterior is unpleasant, it is highly likely that potential home buyers will not want to pursue your home any further.

There are many cost effective ways to spruce up your home’s exterior. First, regularly cut and trim your front lawn using fertilizer and weed control if necessary, and top off any bare patches with dirt and grass seed. As well, make sure any gardens are well cared for by removing weeds, and doing any necessary trimmings.

Also, ensure that your entrance is in its best shape – a fresh coat of paint on the door, a new porch light, etc. are all accents that make your home warm and welcoming. Lastly, if you have a deck or patio, pressure wash and/or stain the deck to give it a fresh look.

So grab those garden gloves and have at it!
