De-personalize your home

Ok you're trendy - even cutting edge. Totally not hipster. We get it. And regardless of how amazing your style is, when prepping your home for sale, we want buyers to focus on the space, not on your giant rhino beetle sculpture. So for today's home staging tip...remember to depersonalize!

Potential home-buyers want to envision themselves living in your home. Seeing less of your personal items will make it easier for a buyer to see your house as their future home.

You can depersonalize your home by removing all personal family photos, mementos, and keepsakes, as well as painting any brightly coloured rooms in your home a more neutral shade.

Keep in mind, when looking to sell your home, the décor should be less about showing off your exceptional style and more about increasing the revenue you will generate from selling it!
